Please find here the call for papers for the 2027 Annual Colloquium of the Henry Sweet Society for the History of Linguistic Ideas. As 2027 is an ICHoLS year, the colloquium will be a one-day, in-person meeting on Friday 9 April 2027 at UCL Chandler House, London.
Abstracts for individual papers and proposals for panels or themed sections should be submitted via the online form by 15 December 2026. We particularly welcome proposals from postgraduate students and ECAs, so please share the call with your students and wider networks.
If you are not yet a member, please consider joining the Society. Postgraduates and early-career scholars are encouraged to apply for a Martin Burr Travel Bursary by 1 March 2027.
